4 WWF Volunteers Abducted From Indian Tiger Reserve

Tiger at the preserve
Bodoland, INDIA – Four volunteers for the World Wildlife Foundation were abducted yesterday while they were counting the tiger population at a preserve in northeast India. The abduction was carried out by a heavily armed and organized group. The surrounding area of the preserve is known as the home to various groups fighting for independence or secession from India.
The victims are two men and two women, all of Indian nationals.
Police have yet to mention if anyone has claimed responsibility and they haven’t identified the kidnappers . A rep notes that the WWF is giving in its full support in every way possible to recover the abducted victims.
